New Showroom Grand Opening Event

Thanks to all of our guests that came to our New Showroom Grand Opening Celebration and made it such a huge success!

On October 9, 2013, Gabriel & Co. introduced the media world, the jewelry industry and important customers to its brand new New York headquarters and showroom.  Near 200 invitees turned out to celebrate Gabriel & Co.’s new state-of-the-art facility now situated on an expansive and sun-drenched floor in New York’s most up-and-coming areas, midtown west. The guest list read like a who’s who of the media world with fashion and lifestyle publications such as Allure, Cosmopolitan, Glamour, InStyle, Harpers Bazaar, Lucky, W, WWD, Martha Stewart, The Knot, Brides, Engagement 101, Wedding Wire, House Beautiful, Gotham/Hamptons, Bergen Mama, Travel & Leisure, JCK, National Jeweler and Instore magazine in attendance. Industry representatives from Platinum Guild International, Silver Promotion Service, Tanzanite Foundation and Rio Tinto Diamonds were in attendance as well as a number of Gabriel & Co.’s retail customers. Additionally, the event was peppered with bloggers and stylists, as well as an appearance by celebrity wedding planner Colin Cowie. Guests were treated to a sumptuous selection of savory hors d’oeuvres and a variety of wines and beverages including two signature cocktails invented for the occasion – The Gabriel Gem and the Gabytini.  The ambiance was complete with the eclectic mix of sounds provided by a DJ. Media, industry and notables mingled throughout the event stopping into the new showroom to view Gabriel & Co.’s extensive collection of bridal and fashion pieces and experience the thrill of try-on’s.

Earlier in the day 20 editors from top fashion, accessories and lifestyle publications and websites received individual appointments where they viewed the collections in-depth. Michael O’ Connor, celebrity stylist and founder of Style & Substance, guided the editors through the Gabriel & Co. history and gorgeous product, perfect for their readers.

The Gabriel & Co. launch event also heralded the first time that many had viewed the company’s new lifestyle advertising and imagery. In addition, the launch is the first step in a variety of promotional programs for the company, which turns 25 next year, and is in the process of revamping it’s website to include the new brand image and provide easier navigation and a variety of new features.

Jack Gabriel adds, “We’re so happy to have progressed this far. Gabriel & Co. has always been a family owned and operated business.  As apprentices to our father, master jeweler Elias Gabriel, we were inspired and guided to create the finest quality of jewelry and to provide unparalleled service. He would have been so proud to not only see all of the things we have accomplished in this time, but how the company has gained stature in the media world and the jewelry industry. We are looking forward to building on our successes and our valued relationships.”

Congratulations also goes out to Persephone Maglaya of Wedding Wire who won our raffle for a silver and diamond necklace from our Mediterranean Collection.

We are proud of our new showroom home and look forward to new release press events throughout the year as well as our retailers spending time with us in New York City.  What better way to show our retailers all of our latest collections than in the comfort of our new showroom!
